He had no issue breathing at that point-though they gave him an oxygen cannula anyway.
My dad was murdered!
The ER
“They put my dad on fluids and gave him Remdesivir without any permission and despite his kidneys being in acute failure.”
On March 28, 2021 I drove my mom and my dad to the hospital. The three of us burning with fever and weak with symptoms that had lasted for a week at that point. At the hospital, they diagnosed all three of us with COVID Pneumonia. They admitted my parents and sent me home. They said my dad's kidneys were dry and my mom had an irregular heartbeat. They put my dad on fluids and gave him Remdesivir without any permission and despite his kidneys being in acute failure (we found out later). They did not give my mom Remdesivir. Three days later, they sent my mom home on oxygen but kept my dad.
Getting Worse
“We begged them to try Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine but they said it was not proven to heal and it was not protocol.”
His condition worsened each day. He struggled more and more with breathing. He expressed feeling claustrophobic in the very small room they had him. They kept him isolated and would not let us see him. We kept calling and let them know we wanted to know every single thing they were going to give him before they gave it, but they did not. We always found out after the fact. A few days later, my mom, sister and I met with a team of doctors and nurses to discuss my dad's condition. We begged them to try Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine but they said it was not proven to heal and it was not protocol. We asked for monoclonal antibodies but they said no to that also, saying it was found to be ineffective. We asked at least for Vitamin D, Zinc, Vitamin C and some nourishing food. At first they said no, but then they relented and said they would give him vitamin D and they allowed us to bring him food. I had a list written out of all the medications I knew they were giving him, and the side effects of all of them. I told them that all of the side effects he was experiencing were from the medications-the shortness of breath, the irregular heart beats, the failing organs, the swelling, the lungs filling with fluid. They said that it was impossible to tell which side effects were a result of the medications or of COVID.
His Last Words
Each day we drove 35 minutes to the hospital to drop him off food. And then the day came where they told us that my dad needed to be put on a ventilator. Before they did, the nurse allowed us to see him on FaceTime. My mom, husband, brother, sister and brother in law sat distraught looking at him wearing a Bipap mask and struggling to talk and breathe. Scared out of our minds but trying to remain positive as alarms were blaring in the background of the oxygen machine attached to my dad. We said we loved him, and as we were talking, he broke through and yelled, "I LOVE YOU ALL, SEE YOU IN A COUPLE OF DAYS." We did not know that that was the last time we would hear his voice. He was on the ventilator for 15 days, all the while, we were still begging for a different treatment, and they denied us each time. He developed ARDS, MRSA, sores on his body and so much more. They had to tie his hands down by his sides because he tried to pull the ventilator out one night when he had a panic attack. They couldn't keep him sedated enough because his blood pressure dropped too low, so he was tormented on a ventilator for 15 DAYS, feeling all of it.
Murder
“My family and I are so angry, we are so terribly sad.”
On the morning he passed, the doctors called us and said that they were plugging one hole and another would burst open and there was nothing else they could do and we should come. So we all went to the hospital and watched him slip away as we prayed over him and held his hand. My family and I are so angry, we are so terribly sad. We have a gaping hole that will never be filled as do so many other families who faced what we did. It is criminal what has happened. My dad was murdered! My mom has tried to find a lawyer to sue the hospital for medical malpractice and not one lawyer will take the case. They said the doctors have immunity. My mom now lives with me. When my dad passed, she lost his retirement income and all their hopes and dreams. She had to put a stop to the building of a house they were starting and so much more. He was ripped from our lives. He was taken from us. He left behind 3 adult children and our spouses, 8 grandchildren, 8 living siblings and a wife of 45 years. The pictures that I've included are my dad and I, and one of him in the hospital. The day they admitted him, the nurse snuck me in to say goodbye and I snapped this photo. He had no issue breathing at that point-though they gave him an oxygen cannula anyway.
